What we do
Areas of Operations
- Gender-Based Violence (GBV) Prevention and Response
DPMF addresses GBV by transforming harmful gender norms and promoting human rights, dignity, and safe workplaces. We conduct community awareness campaigns, provide information on GBV forms and available support services, strengthen survivor empowerment, and build the capacity of teachers, health workers, law enforcement, and community leaders to prevent and respond to GBV effectively. - Tuberculosis (TB), HIV, and Leprosy Prevention and Care
We implement integrated, community-centered TB, HIV, and leprosy programs that promote early screening, treatment adherence, and stigma reduction. Through strategic communication, peer support, and community mobilization, we improve health-seeking behaviors while strengthening service delivery, research, and innovation through St. Martin De Porres Dispensary. - Adolescent Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (ASRHR)
DPMF promotes comprehensive, youth-friendly ASRHR services and information, focusing on vulnerable adolescents and young people. Our interventions support access to SRH education, HIV and STI prevention, family planning, and protection of sexual and reproductive rights through community outreach and health-facility-based services. - Malaria and Integrated Community Health
At the grassroots level, DPMF delivers malaria prevention and control interventions, including bed-net distribution, case detection, treatment referral, and behavior change communication. Where possible, malaria activities are integrated with other community health and neglected tropical disease interventions to maximize impact. - Community Empowerment and Social Protection
We strengthen community resilience through empowerment programs that enhance self-esteem, economic inclusion, and social participation of women, youth, PLHIV, TB and leprosy survivors, and other marginalized groups. Community networks are developed to provide care, referral, and psychosocial support.
OUR APPROACH
DPMF and St. Martin De Porres Dispensary address the root causes of vulnerability through prevention-focused, rights-based, and community-driven interventions. We prioritize inclusion, stigma reduction, quality primary healthcare, and strong partnerships to ensure sustainable health and social outcomes for the most vulnerable populations.
